Qbit Smart, Lirvan Lighting Global, and Celsia Energía Deliver Landmark Smart Solar LED Lighting Project on Colombia’s Ruta Nacional 40
Qbit Smart is proud to announce the successful deployment of an innovative solar LED lighting and smart control system on Colombia’s iconic Ruta Nacional 40, in collaboration with Lirvan Lighting Global and Celsia Energía.
The project combines off-grid solar LED fixtures with a LoRaWAN®-based smart lighting control network, enabling remote monitoring, adaptive lighting management, and optimized energy use.
This solution not only improves road safety but also contributes to sustainability goals by reducing energy consumption and lowering environmental impact.
As one of the country’s most important highways, Ruta Nacional 40 serves as a vital connector between regions, communities, and economic hubs. The introduction of advanced smart lighting infrastructure enhances both its functionality and its symbolic role as a route of connectivity across Colombia.
This project demonstrates how renewable energy and smart city technologies can come together to deliver real impact for citizens. We are proud to be contributing to a greener and more connected future for Colombia.
The deployment marks a significant milestone in Latin America’s transition to sustainable infrastructure, showcasing how public lighting can evolve into a platform for efficiency, innovation, and resilience.
